Fabulous Friday - More Christmas stamping.

Happy Friday everyone.

Polkadoodles challenges are now Always Anything Goes.

We are in a Christmas mood at Polkadoodles and are loving all the new stamps!

I have used Christmas Poinsettia/Holly stamp set.

And the wonderful Christmas Santa Claus Stamp set for the sentiment.

I chose to use wonderful papers from the Festive Christmas collection for my two background layers and the sentiment panel.

I stamped the poinsettia onto green and then red papers from the Festive Chrsitmas collection too.

For the inside I stamped just the poinsettia and then added the message panel.

After stamping the poinsettia once on green and three on red, I then fussy cut them to get that layered look.

I added some Sakura Gel pen to the berries and  a little bit of glitter to the centre of the poinsettia.

Chirstmas ahhhh :-)

Sunday, 9 July 2017

So Sunday it is, and a little bit of Christmas Stamping!

Hello everyone. I know!  Twice in a few days.

Ah well time in the craft room is always time well spent :-)

Today I was playing around with some of the new Polkadoodles stamps!

You can see all the new releases on this link.

For my card I have used the sentiment from Christmas Gifts & Stockings

And the tree is from Christmas Tree Script stamp set.

Christmas Tree Script - Clear Stamp Set

Here is my very quick card.

As I am not one for colouring, I chose some lovely papers from the Frosted Winter collection.   I first stamped the tree script on the grey background, then I stamped it again on a green coloured paper.  Then all I did was fussy cut out the tree, and inked the edges :-)

For the inside I just stamped the tree on it's own and then added a message panel, replicating the front.

For the sentiment on the front I chose a piece of ephemera from the Frosted Winter collection and then stamped on the sentiment.

I also used some of the little snow flakes from the stamps - which I stamped in white and then added some Sukura Gel pen - I should have thought about it more and I could have heat embossed the snowflakes.

A nice quick card and won't be too heavy for posting either :-)

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy crafting.

Fabulous Friday - Red, White & Blue

Happy Friday everyone.

All our Polkadoodles challenges are now Anything Goes.  Lots of new releases in the store which you can check out HERE.

My little bit of inspiration for you this week, uses the wonderful Daisydays download collection. Our theme as the DT was Red, White & Blue and this collection had the perfect set of papers and flowers :-)

I love the mix of papers and have inked all the edges of all the layers.

For the inside making a single layer with the elements from the front.

For the flowers I just cut them twice, inked the edges and layered for dimension.

Simple sentiment could be used for any occasion :-)

I am entering this card in the following challenges.

Crafty Sentiments Designs - Challenge: Anything Goes (closes 10 July)
